Father, when I feel lost or alone, you teach me I can have great courage in your strength and direction. You teach me through the promises of your Word how faithful you are and that you have an answer to all my questions and longings. I can trust you to handle any obstacles that come my way. AA Step 3 Prayer
Lord you know what is best for me. Give me what you will, as much as you will, and when you will. Do with me as you know best, as it most pleases you, and as is most to your honor. I am your creature and in your hands. Lead me where you will. I am your servant, ready to do all things that you command, for I desire not to live for myself but for you.
O God, refresh and gladden my spirit. Purify my heart. Illumine my powers. I lay all my affairs in Thy hand. Thou art my guide and my refuge. I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved, I will be a happy and joyful being. O God, I will no longer be full of anxiety, nor will I let trouble harass me. I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life. O God, Thou art more friend to me than I am to myself. I dedicate myself to Thee O Lord.
Lord, increase my faith and trust in your good intentions for me. Help me to go about my life confident that whatever happens to me will ultimately work out for the best.
